Arrival, departure, and visa process
Your travel agent should take care of processing your visa. The actual visa will be stamped in your passport at the immigration desk at the Paro airport if you are arriving by air and at the immigration office in Phuntsholing if you are arriving overland. It is not necessary to bring copies of your passport photo for the visa.
Your guide and driver will meet you at the Paro airport upon your arrival in Bhutan, and they will accompany you throughout your Bhutan trip.
When exiting Bhutan, after the security checks and customs formalities are finished, you will need to identify your luggage outside the terminal before boarding the plane.
Druk Air weight limit
There is a weight limit on Druk Air: 20kg or about 44 pounds. If you cross this weight limit Druk Air will charge $5 for each kg over the limit. The weight limit is 20kg for all combined checked luggage. Your hand baggage weight should not exceed 5kg and dimensions: 45cm x 30cm x 20cm
If you are bringing a bicycle, it will be considered checked luggage and will count toward the total weight limit of your checked luggage.

Food
The hotels and restaurants will serve a variety of dishes (Bhutanese, Indian, Chinese, and Continental). You can request spicy or nonspicy, depending on your preference. It is no problem if you are a vegetarian or have food allergies. Just let your guide know, and he will instruct the chefs about what type of food to prepare for you. Coffee and tea are included, and other beverages are available at an additional cost. Bottled water is available for purchase in the hotels and restaurants.
