Bhutan
I have known of the lands around the Himalayas ever since I was a young boy.  I was attracted by the mystic and romantic nature of the land and its people.  I visited Tibet a few years ago by taking a trip from Lhasa to Nepal and then hiked in Nepal for 18 days.  It was a fascinating experience. (see the Tibet and Nepal pages)
There are other interesting locations at the foothill of Himalayas, Northern Part of India, Sikkim (part of India now) and of course, Bhutan.
